Larry Iwan Interview Larry and his daughter were practically the first didgeridoo players I met....way back...at Joshua Tree Didgefest years ago. They were friendly, gracious, and have remained great didj friends since that day. One of the aspects of Larry's relationship with the didgeridoo and yidaki that intrigued me was how he was able to combine a strong scientific knowledge of the instruments physics with an a deep appreciation and respect for the Aboriginal people and the culture that originally created the instrument. In our conversation with Larry we discuss many didj related topics, including his travel to the Aboriginal Garma Festival, the acoustical physics related to the didgeridoo, and of course, his own personal relationship to this ancient instrument.
